To my APPLE master friends… Recently all of my email accounts get the following messages and don’t sync.
“Connections to the server “imap-mail.outlook.com” on the default ports timed out.”
I’ve looked on forums and haven’t found much help. I haven’t done much different either and I’m not sure what changed in the system. Any suggestions?
Make sure you have the date and time set correctly, and make sure you have a good internet connection. You can troubleshoot Mail.app using Connection Doctor. In Mail, in the top menu bar, click Window > Connection Doctor. See if that shows any diagnostic information for you. Follow any instructions in the details column if they appear.
That was literally the least helpful post I’ve ever seen. You might as well have said, “Have you heard of the internet? Look on the internet!”
