I have two iPhone 7 Plus, 128 GB with Sprint. I wanted to pay them off because our contract lease is up. I was told that they can be unlocked once I pay off the phones. I switched to Verizon, but Verizon said that they cannot use the 7+ iPhone model that we have on Verizon service Even if they are unlocked by sprint. Is this correct? Because we ended up having to get two new phones through Verizon.
Sadly, this might be correct! The iPhone 7 Plus models came with two different radios for North America: iPhone 7 Plus (Verizon/Sprint/China/A1661) which would work across both Sprint & VerizoniPhone 7 Plus (AT&T/T-Mobile/Global/A1784) which won’t
It depends on the model. You most likely have a model that is only compatible with the Sprint network.
