Anyone know how do i check if ( In-general any laptop moberboard) laptop motherboard is dead before throwing out to e-waste area ? Test for confirm dead mother board.
Hi @tech2018 , The following are just quick checks. Are there any indications of life when you connect a known working compatible charger to the laptop and switch on the charger, e.g. charging light? Check that the power jack is physically OK (and electrically also if you have an Ohmmeter) and not damaged or loose in any way, preventing power from charging the battery or starting the laptop. Test if the laptop tries to start with the battery removed and a charger connected and switched on. Remove the battery and hold the laptop’s power button operated for 30 seconds to dissipate any residual power in the laptop, then leave the battery out and connect the charger and see if it tries to turn on.
