Chosen Solution
Laptop does not boot up half of the time, when it does it freezes or displays this.
Note I have Ubuntu installed.
@sunflowerthomas Try booting the laptop using a standalone program (loaded onto a bootable USB drive) that doesn’t require an OS to run. If the laptop boots OK consistently and the program works then the problem is with the OS or the HDD. I know that the program I linked is a memory test program and I don’t think that there is a problem with the memory, (although i suppose there might be?). It’s just that this program doesn’t need an OS or HDD and also it tests a lot of other parts of the motherboard just by it working OK
