I have a dell inspiron 15 N5030 with a Pentium T4500 dual core cpu and just bought 2x 4GB DDR3 1333 (CP3-10600) SODIMM chips for upgrading….I want to upgrade the cpu to the Pentium T9500 core duo cpu and want to know if it will support the same ram chips I bought? thank you very much for your time.
Stephen - According to Dell support site (http://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/all-pr…) Page 75, the N5030 will support up to 4GB of DDR3-1333, so you should be Ok. Russ
Russ above said that it supports 4gb but i find that its very possible that it can support 8gb. Give it a shot. As long as you have a 64 bit version of windows, you should see all 8gb. It wont hurt anything if you do not. Hope this helps! If it did please hit the accept answer button!
thank you everybody for your input….yes I have a current 64 bit windows system….I am currently waiting for that 8GB worth of DDR3 1333 CP3-10600 chips cause I found out the stock t4500 is a 1333 system…am I right in assuming the stronger 9500 would support the same amount? and is it a 1333 cpu also? or more…I can’t find the specs anywhere
