Have old Dell with a harddisk with my favorite programs the harddisk works fine, but the Dell is not good. Therefore I bought a Compaq Presario CQ56 which works fine. I want to switch my Favorite program harddisk to the Compaq Presario but the screen becomes flickering and it does not work. Must I change something in BIOS?
Hi @bjoernrasmussen , You cannot simply transfer the old HDD from one PC to another one, without expecting some problems, unless both PCs were identical. In your case they’re not. One is a Dell and one is a HP. There will be motherboard hardware driver issues as well as Windows issues. Here’s a link that may help
