my phone screen was cracked prior to this. I dropped my phone out of my pocket and these coloured lines showed up the phone was still responsive and worked. I kept pressing down on the screen to see if I could get rid of these lines but my phone just blacked out with the coloured lines still visible. I am getting texts and people are calling me but the phone is blacked out completely.
Your LCD (the display) suffered physical damage and needs to be replaced. Typically you’ll be buying the entire display assembly (LCD + glass digitizer), which can range betwen $30 - $80 for parts only depending on where you shop and what grade/quality you choose.
