One day my PS4 wouldnt turn on and didnt have a light or anything i thought it was a faulty power supply but it turns out that my power supply is perfectly fine. I opened it up to see what is wrong with it and i found out that my cr2302 (CMOS) battery had exploded and put battery acid all over my motherboard and optical drive is there any way to clean it off and get the console working again or should i just order a new board?
Try washing down with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Put some on a toothbrush and gently wash away the corrosion, Use gloves. Once you’ve done that, try putting another cmos battery in and see what happens.
