When my 2014 Club Car 48 volt golf cart is in operation the positive terminal on the main battery heats up to near melting point after short time. Batteries have been tested and appear to be ok!!!

I agree with James, check all connections are clean and have not corroded a little. I was having similar problems and replaced all my wires. I also noticed my charging connector was getting really hot. I overhauled the connector and found that the wires inside were burnt up a bit so I cleaned everything, cut the wires back a little, put it all back together and it is working really good.

I would check the battery cables that connect them to the other batteries to ensure they are clean, tight, and in good condition. If they are loose consider using a lock washer to help keep them secure. If they are getting hot it will just be a matter of time before the battery terminal post melts. I would just replace the cable with a new one and see if that helps. A lot cheaper than a new battery. Hope it fixes it.
