Chosen Solution
I built my first PC last year, and bought a 60gb SSD for the OS and a couple of programmes. Anyway, since getting into phone repairs, itunes decides to install and put everything onto the OS drive not my second HDD, which is a problem, as I only have 1gb left! Now I want to buy 120gb SSD. Will EVERYTHING work if I clone the disk, and will these “free” software do this without putting anything else in there? Many thanks.
You have two options here, one isa physical block level image and the other is a file system or logical image. There are free open source tools and paid tools for this process. You can check out http://www.clonezilla.org/. Good luck!
