Noticeable clicking and buzzing sound from inside of the laptop. When unplugged noise stops. It is not fans, nor disk, I have an SSD. As far as I can tell it does not affect performance, but when it is quiet — sound drives me crazy. Is there something I can do about it? I found what makes noises:
Looks like some power module and the coils (transformers?) makes the noise. Another thing I noticed that sometimes clicking gets louder when the picture on the screen changes. But it is not consistent. UPDATE: Just found out that after unplugging or plugging the power adapter all is quiet but in a few minutes noises come back. It doesn’t matter whether system runs on battery or adapter.
That is what SD cards do as they work. You can switch it back to a quieter hard drive if that feature is a real problem.
