My classic 60 gig iPod (WHICH I LOVE) recently stopped playing sound. I keep it stored and hooked up in my car to play songs. I thought there was a problem with my sound system but I’ve discovered the iPod displays songs normally and responds to commands but no sound is generated. I tried using earphones and there is no sound playing. Although the iPod display shows the song settings (display, volume, start and stop) normally. When I connect it to iTunes on the computer the content on the iPod plays perfectly. I LOVE the “classic” Apple products created under Steve Jobs leadership and would like to keep my “good ol’ iPod” . If any one has experienced this problem and has any recommendations please let me know….
