Chosen Solution

I’ve had this trimmer for a numbr of years & it has been very reliable. It was fine four days ago. Yesterday, I found that the orange choke lever can no longer be pushed upwards into the “choke” position. I took the air cleaner case, which contains the choke lever, off and it appears the metal braket is preventing the choke lever from being engaged when the assembly is bolted onto the housing. Can anyone help me figure this one out?

Yes, I had the same problem. In my case, the “prevent plate “ was bent out of shape, possibly by an impact. Bought a new one and installed and works fine now! See this thread for the details. https://www.lawnmowerforum.com/showthrea
