No matter which setting I choose , the check lint filter light starts flashing and the dryer won’t start. I have reset the breaker, unplugged the dryer, cleaned out the filter and the vent in the back. An answer on another of this question said to check the heat sensor which I will do. Is there anything else to check for?
Check out the answers of the question and see if you find a resolution: check lent filter light on and will only run on express dry
I am an appliance installer and had this same issue today. I had found out that I forgot to reconnect the plug going to the door. So the dryer thought the door was open. If anybody has done any work to it that might be the issue. Or could even be a bad switch for the door closed sensor.
Have you checked to make sure the sensor isn’t being blocked or has been unplugged? Find a maintenance manual for your specific dryer and take it apart IAW the maintenance manual
I pushed the door sensor switch in a few times, closed the door tight and seems to have solved the problem.
I also pushed the door close switch several times and the dryer started working. Looks like I may need to replace the switch down the road, the contacts are probably degrading over time.
I woke up early to tackle this issue, with no luck with all that I tried. My wife came down and turned the dial to Normal and it worked fine. I guess the dial was on sensor mode.
Mine wound up being a broken belt. Put a new belt on for $8 on ebay. Light not on anymore.
Check belt and door switch. The check lint always flashes to remind you to check lint, it’s got nothing to do with why dryer is not working.
Late reply, but for everyone replying “Same issue” have y’all checked the sensor? There might be something on the sensor itself, or a short in the sensor wiring
I just watched a you tube video I have a kenmore he5 elite with f-01 code if you remove circuit board and look at back it blows out a solder joint. I soldered a jumper and fixed mine. I’d you can search enough there is a video of this on you tube
I had this issue after replacing the idler pulley and vacuuming out a whole lot of lint from inside the machine. There is a little white switch just below the belt drive that had a piece of lint stuck in it and holding the switch down. I removed the lint and, voila, it’s running again.
First , I turned the power on to the dryer Second. I removed the lint screen from the slot . Third, I then pressed the start button with the lint screen still removed . Finally, the dryer started right away without any error or resistance to start After the dryer was on , I slid the lint screen back into placed
I had the same issue. I would touch the mode I wanted then the start button and then the light would blink but never start. Until I hit the start button a second time and then the dryer started up! Hope this helps.
