I followed your guide to replace the battery. The new battery will only charge up to 25% after 8 hours on charging cable.
The only thing you could do would be try another battery and charging cable but I think the problem maybe one of the charging components on the logic board. These are repairable by a technician but it would be cheaper to consider an upgrade.
