Ok so with my ipad, it charges all the way when I am not using it. If it is charging and I am using it, the charging percentage just keeps going down instead of up. I have tested the plug and it is fine. I replaced the battery and got an original apple charger and plug and noticed it working for a couple of days, then it went back to the way it was. I am thinking the logic board maybe? But what on the logic board? I would like to maybe repair it instead of replacing the board if it is that. Maybe someone with an engineering degree would know. Thanks in advance.
It’s posable the charging IC chip is bad on the logo board.
Looks like a fake charging issue. This occurs when the “u2” charging IC chip is spoiled. Furthermore I notice in your first message that you used a non official Apple charger (correct?) Using non official lightning chargers can greatly spoil the charging IC chip. Replacing it is possible , but only by a skilled person . The chip is approximatly 2mm x 2mm with not less than 36 contacts. So without a stereo microscope it’s just impossible. Some person like Jessa Burdettc( http://mendonipadrehab.com/ ) or in UK James Soulsby (http://gadgetrepairnottingham.co.uk/) are used to do this work.
