The charging port for my gigaset qv830 tablet broke and I’d like to replace it myself. It’s an android tablet with a micro usb port. I was wondering what specific port i need. I already know how to replace it, but when i go and look for a port, i noticed that each micro usb port is for a specific phone or tablet, and i can’t find any for this specific tablet. Could i use one for any android tablet, or what?
Hi @am0nq , The thing to watch out for is that the board lug mounts on the connector are in the same position on the new connector. The pin connectors will be all the same but the lugs may be in a different place on the connector bodyshell. Try searching here to see if you can find a micro USB connector that has the connector board mount lugs in the same place on the connector bodyshell as what the one in the tablet has.
