My Mac is an A1398 Early 2013 and I need to change the top case (bad battery, keyboard with some damaged keys and trackpad stopping working). I’m not finding its specific top case but I found one for the Late 2013 model. The battery on mine says A1417 and the battery on the top case I’ve found says A1494. Is it possible to use this one on my laptop?
The case part is a bit different as the logic board mounts are not at the same location. How about getting the proper uppercase minus the trackpad and battery MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Mid 2012-Early 2013) Upper Case Assembly, Then get a battery locally that way you save the cost and the part is ship able.
Frankly I would just buy the proper part for the job. You can buy the correct top case for your model in B-Stock condition below. MacBook Pro 15" Retina (Mid 2012-Early 2013) Upper Case Assembly
