My 2002 Honda Accord with 82500 miles on it jerks a bit when accelerating. Nothing happens to the speed but the rpm drops and then again increases and then the car picks up speed. What might be the problem ?
Could be a knock sensor or a loss of air inside the air box/tube that goes to the intake manifold. I would have the check engine light checked; just because it isnt on doesn’t mean there isn’t a code in the system. Most of the errors would give you a check engine light, so it might just be a matter of time till it comes on. My Subaru had a faulty knock sensor => loss of power when accelerating Mazda had a break in air duct => loss of power when accelerating
Change the ignition coils and your problem will be fixed .Before changing coils insulate them by pvc tape first and install them back in and if you problem decreases it will be confirmed ignition coils are bad now .so just change them .
The Driver ? Joke LOL I would start with New Plugs / Oil/Air/Fuel filters. is the check engine light on ?
my Friends Car was like that.. It would have almost NO power also. it was the O2 Sensor that went bad and needed replacement. weird eh?
Had the same problem changed airfilter in Honda civic ex 56plate sorted
