You I have a craftsman model 917.271826 I was mowing and hit u mound of dirt and the engine shut off now it seems like it has a lot of compression and will turn but seems like it’s is having trouble starting changed the oil shortly before this happened thought I added to much drained it and put new oil in again still has trouble when I turn it by hand it turns about 3/4 a gets really hard To turn and I hear air escaping out like a hiss when It does when spark plugs out turns freely plz help also can’t seem to find where the valve adjustment is on this model
Hi @swamaster , What is the make and model number of the engine in the mower? You may be able to find the service manual for the engine which will have the valve adjustment procedure. Try searching for (insert engine make and model number) service manual and check if there is one available online.
