Hi oldturkey03…..The link you mentioned does not exist anymore. Is there another that shows the same? Also i have the 5.5 Gen version and the board layout is different to the above photo, and despite looking i cant find an answer to where the audio ic chip is
Alan Crowley for the 5th gen it is the Broadcom BCM2722 IC that does the work.
The DAC it on the opposite side.
