I’m using an Ayoue 2703 A+ repairing system set to 480 c and 100 P to attempt to do hdmi port repairs on a ps4, and xbox 1 s. After about 20 minutes or so I was able to get the old ports off, and with flux applied after 20+ minutes the solder is not revolting for me to apply the new hdmi port, is there some trick I’m missing here?
Make sure you are using a quality solder and flux. Also, ensure your air is high enough to move the heat properly. You should be using leaded solder to do this repair. Make sure to use solder braid to remove all original solder. When in doubt, use more flux. Just make sure to clean it off after.
