the remote will only work using up & down changer. just to press 7 or 2 whatever it doesn’t react. Nothings blocking the remote , close to tv and tv new, but prob just started today. Older people using it so obviously they’ve pressed something wrong.
Helen Peterson this could very well be a remote control button issue. Try t a Universal remote and see if it does work for the TV. If it shows the same issues it is possibly the IR receiver board inside the TV that has failed. If a Universal remote works then it is the remote itself. Some can be opened and cleaning the contacts under the membrane with a pencil eraser might fix this. For that we would have to see the remote.
