Hi, I have a Toshiba Tecra z50a -12c Laptop with and it has a password on bios that I need to reset. Was looking all over the internet but cannot find this particular model CMOS clear jumpers location… Any ideas

There may not be a jumper, but on newer (UEFI) laptops it should be possible to get around the password with a password recovery too. See the external links at the end of https://wiki.restarters.net/UEFI_and_GPT

qusai.huji it used to be that BIOS was stored in a read only memory chip (ROM) on the motherboard. This has changed over the last few years. The BIOS information is saved on either EEPROM chips or flash memory and can no longer be reset by a jumper or removal of the battery. You can try the Toshiba Supervisor Password Utility downloaded from here If that does not work you will have to contact Toshiba (not a very helpful company)
