; is there a software menu? I want to project a windows 8.1 laptop with a smaller screen to the Envy 23 inch screen. I cannot find a diagram that shows where the button should be. Bought it at costco.

Start from the desktop: Move your mouse to the right side (a notification bar should show). May take a few tries. Once it shows, click devices; this should be the UI setting your are looking for. Hope this helped - let me know Cheers, Eric
