Cannot Find Accurate Float Heights Manual Says 3 4 4 4 Yamaha Motorcycle Fzr 600 1994

The manual for my 1994 fzr 600 says my float height is 3.4-4.4 mm The lowest setting measuring the float upside down with the float needle depressed is 7mm pulling the float to its max height is 11 mm Iguessing t=9.5 mm is the proper height. but doeas anyone know for sure?
