I think that you will find that any attempt to re-use solder will cost more than using new. Realize that you will need to add flux to any connection you attempt with the used solder. Add in the time and electricity required for heat and you will quickly exceed the cost of a roll of solder. You could but you would spend more money heating up your soldering iron than it would cost to buy a spool of solder. I spent €7.50 on 1km of solder 5 years ago and I still have half of it left.
