Hello, I accidentally bought only replacement glass for ipad 3 that is without digitizer attached. could you suggest tutorial that show how to replace only outer screen? I have seen many that replace glass with digitizer combo but none that show how to replace screen only. this is one I bought http://www.ebay.com/itm/331034088751?ssP… please don’t post answers saying to not buy from ebay or to just get one with digitizer, those would not be much help. The glass and digitizer are the same item. On the iPad 3 the glass/digitizer and LCD are two different items. If you can see an image then the LCD is good no need to replace it. Take a look at this link for instructions. iPad 3 Wi-Fi Front Panel Replacement
You nee to purchase the combined touchscreen/glass digitiser as they are bonded together. You will need to buy the correct part. People selling the glass only are trying to rip you off.
