My 2021 16" has a much lighter hinge than I’d like, and was wondering if they can be tightened in any way?
Hi Yes they can but I believe this will void your warranty If you follow this guide up til step 34 MacBook Pro 16" 2021 Screen Replacement Once you get to that step don’t remove the screws just loosen them or tighten them to you what you like:-) Hopefully this helps Thanks:-)
@tmtiz & @hellomacos - Sorry guy there is no adjustment for the hinges tension! Apple uses a clutch design which is basically a tightly wound spring over a shaft. The only way to effect change is replacing the full display in this series as Apple did away with the discreet hinge units the 2015 and older systems use.
