I have the 3.8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7 CPU with the AMD Radeon Pro 5500 XT 8 GB GPU. I want to upgrade this 2020 to the highest specks possible. Is it possible to upgrade GPU to AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16GB?
Hi As far as I know this isn’t done easily because the gpu is BGA soldered to the logicboard This means that there are 100s if not thousands of small solder joints under the gpu itself making the process extremely difficult You could upgrade the logicboard with one that had a better spec though Hopefully this helps Any questions please ask Thanks:-)
