Hi I know it may seem a little crazy but when i turn on my dsc-f828 it gives me the opportunity to set date and time but i can’t move on the screen with the multi select button so i cant set date and it does not work at all help me please im having this problem since so many years a go but i live some where that there is no sonny support
Hi, I don’t know the camera but on p.144 of the user manual it mentions that there is a rechargeable coin cell battery located inside the battery/“Memory Stick” cover. This battery maintains the settings including the date and time when the main battery is removed for whatever reason. Try to reset the camera by turning off the camera and removing the main battery and the coin cell battery and then turning the camera on for a full 30 seconds to reset it back to its factory default condition. It won’t turn on of course but doing this will drain any residual power from the camera which usually resets it. Take note of the way that the coin cell battery is inserted when you remove it so that you put it back in the same way, e.g there may be a +ve symbol on one face of the battery Turn off the camera and reinsert the coin cell battery (see note above) and the main battery. Turn on the camera and check if it now works properly. You will have to set it all up again as any settings preferences that you had set in the camera will be lost due to the reset.
