Hi. I just replaced my HD with a new SSD. When I boot it up, it seems like it goes into Internet Recovery. I can get to the spinning globe and it does something for 15 mins. while the progress bar fills up, but then gets stuck on the Apple logo and won’t do anything after that. Any ideas as to what might cause this?
You could leverage your HDD using the [linked product missing or disabled: IF107-108-1] then using a USB keyboard use the Option (⌥) key to get to the Startup Manager to select the HDD to boot from. Reference: Mac startup key combinations Then you can download a fresh copy of macOS installer your system needs. I strongly recommend sticking with Sierra How to upgrade to macOS Sierra jump down to Step 4 and click on the Blue URL link ‘Download macOS Sierra’ The reason you want to get this installer is Apple uses a certificate and your old installer likely has an expired one If you’ve got an old macOS install image, it will probably stop working today
