I have an iPhone 6. Whenever I make a call, the other person can answer it and connect, but they can’t hear me or it’s very muffled and I can’t hear them. Steps I have taken: -Cleaned out headphone jack -Factory reset and iOS update -Hard Reset -DFU Mode Reset -Recorded a voice memo, video with front camera, video with rear camera and can hear perfectly fine with each -Checked “Do Not Disturb” mode -Turned on Hearing Aid Assistance -Checked button above volume Exactly what is happening is that I will make a call, there will be no “dial tone sound” while the call is being made, and I can’t get any audio once the call is answered. The other person cannot hear me at all. I have no idea what to do. Please help!
First of all try resetting all settings in the settings app. I recommend starting off with a restore of the iPhone via iTunes. Do backup your iPhone via iTunes first before restoring as it will wipe data on the phone. This sometimes fixes weird audio issues like this.
I get this problem too - it just started to happen within the last three or four weeks and I have moved to a new location so I am wondering if it has something to do with that. I shut it down and restart it and that always fixes it but would love to not have to do that. Perhaps the next update will address it.
