I’m working on a 5 s which took a few knocks and needs the screen replaced. Another problem was that the user couldn’t hear or be heard when making phone calls. I replaced the camera/ mic / earpiece cable as well as the earpiece and clip. That still didn’t solve the problem. Replaced the original parts , no difference. Checked the connector on the logic board and nothing obvious as far as damage goes. Other than this problem the iPhone works fine. Any thoughts on what the problem could be? I should also mention that using hands free and earphones w/ mic also yield the same results.
I suggest you check to see if the iphone is stuck in headphones mode. Also this might help.
have you restore the phone via itunes ?
Hard reset? Update Also are you sure you have the right speaker part? I have found that some suppliers send the 5g part instead of the 5s part and they do differ. The 5g has 2 contact points and the 5s has 4 also the flex cable should have 4 contact points as well.
